3SC caretaker coach, Akeem Busari, believes his side would clinch the maximum points when they host traditional rivals, Enugu Rangers, in their premier league tie on Sunday.
After the disappointment of exiting the Federation Cup at the group stage, Rangers would be expected to come out firing on all cylinders to preserve their three-point lead on top of the table, but Busari told SuperSport.com there would be no escape for the Flying Antelopes.
"It is not a matter of the league leaders coming to Ibadan, but from my own perspective what matters is how prepared we are, and we are ready for this match," he said.
"We didn't prepare specially for them, though every match brings its own fresh challenge; they beat us in Enugu and we are looking forward to winning this fixture.
"I have a lot of confidence in my team, irrespective of recent setbacks, and this is a game I know they are capable of winning even though it won’t be easy.
"Matches between the two sides still generate a lot of passion, and I don't expect this one to be any different; we know there would be a large turn out of fans and we will not disappoint them."
Busari reckons they have achieved their aim of moving away from the relegation zone to a comfortable position and that there was no pressure on them to perform an extraordinary feat at the concluding stages of the season.
"We weren't well placed when we took over, but we were able to move into the top ten and challenge for a continental place," he pointed out.
"At the moment we still have a slim chance of making it and if it comes then its okay, and if it doesn't then we'll just be happy to be safe and comfortable."
3SC are 9th in the premier league on 49 points, nine behind leaders Rangers.
