Didier Drogba has been on vacation in the USA since the signing of his contract with Shanghai Shenhua and is set to arrive in China on 14 July.
Shanghai
Shenhua is currently struggling in the championship with no more than a
one-point lead on the lowest-ranked team, and they are counting on the
2012 European champion’s arrival to help them get back on their feet.
The
former Marseille player will be presented on the evening of his arrival
at the Stade de Hongkou, and his first outing in his new colours is set
for 18 July in the China Cup round of sixteen clash against Sataï.
Thus begins a new chapter for the 34-year old Ivoirian striker, after spending eight years at Chelsea and in the Premier League.
