A KASAMA High Court Judge is dismayed at the increasing cases of bestiality. This was when the court sentenced a Mpika man to 15 years imprisonment with hard labour for having carnal knowledge of a goat and leaving it paralysed. In sentencing Felix Kampamba, 32, a peasant farmer, Judge Emelia Sunkutu said punitive measures needed to be taken to deter others from behaving in a similar manner. Ms Justice Sunkutu said Kampamba’s behaviour was shocking and an affront to society. “You behaved like an animal and your behaviour is an affront to public morals. You pounced on a helpless goat despite there being many women in society you could propose to,” said the annoyed judge.
